FAQs - Frequently Asked Questions
Q. My Fax is ringing and ringing. What can I
do?
A. Most faxes have different modes that they can be put in such as
Tel (Telephone), TAD or Fax. Usually if a fax is ringing and the
modem is not picking up, the fax is in the tel mode. There should
be a mode button on the fax that cycles though these modes. Simply
putting the fax back into "fax" mode should solve this issue.
Q. I'm going to the iConnect site and all
I see is a blue screen that says "Thank you for using Atlas
Labworks". What can I do?
A. The iConnect website works off of pop ups. Simply adding the
site as a exception to your popup blocker or disabling your popup
blocker all together will solve this issue. This can be done by
opening up your web browser and clicking "Tools" then "Internet
Options". Click the "Privacy" tab. From here you can turn off the
popup blocker or add the following two sites as an exception
(www.ghciconnect.com and ghc.elaborders.com). Another thing to keep
in mind is that third party toolbars (Google and Yahoo toolbars for
example) often contain built-in popup blockers as well. We
recommend disabling them or un installing them completely. To
disable them open up your web browser and click "view" then
"toolbars" and uncheck them. To uninstall them completely you will
have to use the "add/remove programs" feature from "control
panel".
Q. When printing my Lab results from
iConnect I am getting a extra page or the margins are not
correct.
A. IConnect uses a active-x control (print class class) to
automatically set the page margins and adjust the print settings in
order to make the results look like results and not a page printed
from a website. Usually this problem is a result of the active-x
control not being installed properly or not installed at all. This
is a easy fix but it will take someone with administrative
privileges to take care of. If you are not sure if you have
administrative privileges contact your IT department . To see if
you have this active-x control installed you open your web browser
and click "Tools" then "Manage Add-Ons" then "Enable or Disable
Add-ons";. You should see a add-on called "Print Class Class". If
you do not then log into your computer with administrative
privileges and simply print a result. This will prompted you to
install the active-x control. Once installed you can test the
active-x control by clicking here.
Q. My iConnect icon has disappeared from
my desktop. How can I get it back?
A. It has probably been accidentally deleted. The first thing to
try is to check your recycle bin. If it is there, simply right
click it and click "restore". The icon its self is a shortcut to
the website. You can still access the site by opening up the web
browser and typing in http://www.ghciconnect.com. If you would like
to have your icon back on your desktop you can run our "iConnect
setup Utillitly" or you can also right click a empty area on your
desktop then click "new" then "shortcut". A box will appear asking
for the location of the shortcut. Type the address of the site
(http://www.ghciconnect.com) then click "next" and name it
"iConnect".
